The movie Das Ka Dhamki stars Vishwaksen, Nivetha Pethuraj, Rao Ramesh, Rohini Molleti, Ajay, Hyper Aadi, Akshara Gowda, Shaurya Kare, Mahesh Achatna, and others. Vishwaksen is the director, while Karate Raju produced the film. Leon James composed the music, and Dinesh K Babu handled the cinematography. Anwar Ali edited the movie. The story follows Krishna Das, a waiter who falls in love with Keerthi, conceals his profession and pretends to be wealthy. Meanwhile, there is Dr. Sanjay Rudra, who is Krishna Das's doppelganger and CEO of SR Pharma Pvt. Ltd, who invents a cancer drug but dies in an accident. Later, to save the Pharma company, Krishna Das takes Sanjay's place.
The movie has several positives, such as Vishwaksen's performance as Krishna Das, which is impressive, and he fits the role of a commercial hero. The first half has good entertainment, with Vishwaksen, Hyper Aadi, and Jabardast Mahesh evoking laughter with their comedy timing. Nivetha Pethuraj's chemistry with Vishwaksen is also noteworthy.
However, the second half does not live up to the hype created before the film's release. The story is simple, and the numerous twists lack conviction and look forced. The editing is abrupt, and the cancer drug angle is not handled well. The item number at the end seems misplaced, and Rohini's role lacks any significance.
The technical aspects are decent, with Leon James's background score being notable, Dinesh K Babu's cinematography is elegant, and the production values being good. Vishwaksen's potential as a director is visible, but it did not translate effectively on screen.
Overall, Das Ka Dhamki entertains partly, with a decent first half and a below-par second half. Vishwaksen's lively performance is a highlight, but the movie doesn't live up to the hype completely. The film is worth watching but with expectations in check.
